At first Tristan appears reluctant to learn his true place. Maybe it was just his intention to gain some pleasure from the experience, but he would soon have realized his mistake.
Tristan then learns the frustration of not being in control and understands his pleasure is not within his own control and his roll is purely for the pleasure of Akasha. He learns that choices are no longer his to make and that he has no choice but to relieve control of himself.
Finally Tristan has learnt that in his submission he has some semblance of control, control of his superior’s pleasure and in that a need need relationship for both Akasha and himself.
